Add Cookiebot to Websites 360®

Add Cookiebot to Websites 360®

You can set up a banner on your website that states whether you are using cookies, and how they are used. These banners are often used to comply with regulations such as the GDPR, which applies to internet users in the EU. You can add a cookie banner to your website with the Cookiebot widget.

Setting up the Cookiebot Widget

Step 1: Create a Cookiebot account and add your domain

To create your Cookiebot widget, you will create an account on the Cookiebot website.

  1. Log in to your account and add your website domain name(s).
  2. Click Save. The website will now be scanned (please allow up to 24 hours for the scan to complete).

Step 2: Choose the cookie consent banner you want to display on your website

  1. Go to Settings > Dialog and choose your cookie consent banner.
  2. Under Privacy Trigger, configure your Privacy Trigger appearance. The default banner and Privacy Trigger are configured with the strictest settings possible (suitable for cookie consent under GDPR and ePR).
  3. Navigate to Settings > Content to edit the default banner and Privacy Trigger text to fit your website and legal requirements.

Step 3: Embed the script on your website

  1. Navigate to Settings > Your Scripts.
  2. Copy the top script for the Cookie Consent Banner to save it to your clipboard.
  3. Navigate to your Websites 360® dashboard and select the Pages tab at the top of your Websites app.
  4. On the right-hand sidebar, under Global Content, click on Footer.

  5. Select the (+) button at the bottom of the page.

  6. Select HTML from the menu that appears.

  7. A HTML Block will be created. In the first line in the text area, next to the number 1, paste the script.
  8. Click Save at the top of the HTML Block.
  9. Publish the website.
